Ed’s Story

When I walked into my classroom 1st period, the first day back from Christmas Vacation, the very first moment where I finally begin applying my training, I said “Good Morning Everyone, how was your vacation?” One of my students replied, “It was fine Mr. Lloyd, now tell us how your vacation was, because your acting like something neat happened.” I proceeded to tell them, because it was then the excitement and passion finally began to emerge, and it did. What I was not to fully realize until weeks later, was that not only had the teacher appeared when the students were ready, it was the teacher who became the student and the students teachers. At that moment, together, we all began to grow as leaders.
